March 27, 2009
Hello everyone, today i'm gonna tell you about one of the first and best concert that i attended so far. It's when Radiohead came to Chile for the first time in 2009, they played with another two bands. Kraftwerk, from Germany and Casino, from Chile.
That was a concert that i really wait for so long because i bought the tickets in october or november (if i'm not wrong) of 2008 and in that time i was a massive fan of Radiohead so, i spent many hours listenend them and reading about them (interviews, reviews, etc). The best part of that concert was that two bands played before them and the two bands i love too: Kraftwerk and Casino.
I came to the concert with two friends, we traveled from La Serena (were i'm living in that time) to Santiago and we spend two days in the apartment of another friend that came to the concert with us too. We saw Casino first, they were (they split in 2013 i think) a band that played alternative rock, post punk and shoegaze. In that time i listenend a lot Casino and that was the first time that i saw them play. The next show was of Kfratwerk, what an amazing band! they are pioners of the electronic music since the '70s. The played all the big hits (i saw them again in 2016 in the Caupolican theatre in a show with 3D visual experience it was wonderful) so it was a relly good opnening act for Radiohead, primaly because Kraftwerk it's a big influence for Radiohead (you can noticed that in the albums "Kid A" and "Amnesiac")
Finally the big moment: Radiohead! i remember how all of us (the public) scream a lot when they openend the concert with "Creep" it's very rare if they play that song. The next song was "The National Anthem" that it's one of those song of the experimental era (my favourite). Well, the played all the hits (except for "Karma Police" but in 2018 i saw them again and they played the song ha ha) and i was very happy, what an amazing day...music is the best :)
I let you music from the other two bands: Casino and Kraftwerk. See you around!
Casino - Vicio
Kraftwerk - The Man Machine
Wooow! I can imagine how wonderful was that concert!!! Although I knew Radiohead's music only a few years ago, I loved it and it's part of my crazy moments since then. jajajaj Good experiencccceeeee
